For good or ill,Dead Island 2came and went without a huge amount of fanfare. Currently, the game has aMetacriticscore of 73 (7.7 from users), which is pretty good, but not exactly boundary-breaking. Yeah, pretty much on the one-year anniversary of the game’s release, you can pick upDead Island 2on Steam, which, until now, was only available via Epic Games Store if you wanted it on PC....

Dual audio also on the table Speaking withGame Watchat the Taipei Game Show over the weekend, Square Enix producer Ryutaro Ichimura discussed a potential western release forDragon Quest Heroes. “I want to proceed thinking positively,” Ichimura responded when asked about a localization. “Since we were able to announce the Chinese version in Taiwan today, seeing that reaction, I want to spread it even further around the world.” The topic of dual audio was also broached, but the development team hasn’t made any decisions about that just yet....

We spotted something interesting on the show floor today at Nintendo’s booth. A few Wii U titles allow you to use the GamePad as a visual aid while using a Wii Remote for gameplay. InPikmin 3, for example, while playing with the Wii Remote, a map of the entire area is displayed on the GamePad’s screen. Well, how would one see the map if the GamePad were lying flat on a coffee table?...

I doubt it surprises anyone, but my excitement forUnchained Bladesstems from my love of thegame’s soundtrack, which was released last year. While it features a main theme by Nobuo Uematsu that sounds a lot likeIron Chef, the true star is Tsutomu Narita. He has crafted an amazing soundtrack that combines modern instrumentation with fantastic melodies that will remind you of some of your favorite SNES-era RPG soundtracks. After getting some hands-on time with the game, I can tell you this is an RPG for hardcore gamers....

If you haven’t seen it before,Rumbleverseis essentially a wrestling battle royale from Iron Galaxy, the studio behind games likeWreckateerandDivekick. The studio’s had a fair bit of experience working on fighting games, and it shows inRumbleverse....
