MangaGamer puts Shuffle! sequel Really? Really! up for preorder

Really? Yes, really MangaGamerhas just announced thatReally? Really!, the third game in the heart-wrenchingShuffle!franchise, is now available for preorder for a June 6 release. It’s nowhere near the caliber ofSteins;Gate, if my review was your first introduction to the world of visual novels, but it’s a good bit of eroge and storytelling that you’ll enjoy if you’ve seen theShuffle!anime or have followed the previous games. Shuffle!was a series I didn’t feel too strongly about until the very end....

Mass Effect 3 fans petition BioWare to change the ending

[Spoiler Warning:This post concerns the ending toMass Effect 3, as you might expect. Don’t come whining to me about ruining the game if you fail to stop reading right now.] I knew that quite a few BioWare fans fancied themselves better writers than the studio’s own storytellers, but I didn’t realize they’d go to the trouble of crafting their own ending to theMass Effecttrilogy. That’s what they’ve done though, and there is strong demand for it to become more than fanfiction....

Mega Man and Pac-Man never coming to SFxT 360

Despite the fact that the data for Mega Man and Pac-Man are on the game’s disc, Capcom will not be unlocking the two mascots on the 360 version of the game. You can unlock the these mans for free on the PS3 version of the game, and they’ll also be immediately playable on the Vita port of the title. We can only guess that Sony paid Capcom a pretty chunk of change for these exclusives....

Michael Bay to blow things up good on Netflix with Ryan Reynolds

Can’t be worse than Transformers 5… right? Michael Bay use to deliver some of the best mindless action out there, but then he started makingTransformersmovies and the mindless took over everything, and he went from being able to coherently piece together big exploding things to vomiting visual trash onto the screen. Hopefully the small screen reigns him in a bit as its been announced that his next film,Six Underground, will be made for Netflix and star Ryan Reynolds....

Monster Hunter World is looking better the more I see it

Capcom is doing this right so far Monster Hunter Worldhad an impact that many other games in the series have failed to really hit. Not only was it announced for a worldwide release very quickly (rather than months or even years later in coy fashion), but it was also developed for multiple core console platforms (PS4 and Xbox One), PC, and features cross-region (but not cross-platform) play. They came out of the gate swinging rather than cater to a niche, and I think it’s paying off....

More games should use the Zelda Oracle link system

It was a pretty revolutionary feature in 2001 I was playing the twoLegend of Zelda Oraclegames—SeasonsandAges—on my 3DSrecently, and found myself once again appreciating the fairly innovative game-link feature that was implemented by Capcom and Nintendo so many moons ago. For those of you who aren’t aware, after a proposal to Miyamoto from a Capcom employee, twoOraclegames were commissioned by Nintendo for the Game Boy Color as a follow-up to the incredibly successful Game Boy titleLink’s Awakening....
