Anyway, From Software held a little event in Yokohama over the weekend to commemorate3D Dot Game Heroesheading into production, and brought along these rad statues. Producer Takueti Masaru and Project Manager Misawa Hiroyuki of Silicon Studios were on hand, declaring October 10th “Day of the Dot.” Why that date holds any particular significance is beyond me, but if you’ve got some insight, feel free to enlighten us all in the comments....
Battlefield 6, EA’s next game in the long-standing series, might get an open beta soon, according to a dataminer. The long-awaited game could put wind in the franchise’s sails, which have been all but ripped to shreds following the horrible launch ofBF2042. But I just hope it equalsBF1. As reported by Insider Gaming, the very phrase “Battlefield 6open beta” appeared in the files of the Battlefield Labs, showing quite clearly that EA is at least planning to launch something of the sort....

At E3 we got to play a bit of his newer titleKyoto Wild, and in one week his studio Rad Dragon will releaseAlphabeats, which is billed as “ScrabblemeetsDance Dance Revolution.” Watching the gameplay above, it looks like the rhythm aspect is not a huge part of the gameplay, as players maneuver a group of letters at the bottom to catch more letters and build valid words....

Setting aside for the moment that it’s a bit silly to design a peripheral for a game where the primary selling point is being able to play it anywhere at any time, I might actually be motivated to soldier through an entire round of levels inAngry Birdsif I had this thing to play with....

In 2019 The Caligula Effect, which wins the award as one of the most playful titles of 2017, was released on Vita and somewhat unceremoniously on PSTV (remember that?) roughly a year ago in the west after marinating in Japan for a year preceding the localization. It garnered a rather tepid response but there were fans, as evidenced by today’s announcement of a western release forCaligula Effect: Overdose— which will be arriving on PC, PS4, and Switch in 2019....
Project Legion comes to life, sort of At EVE Fanfest 2014, CCP announced a prototype calledProject Legion, a new PC shooter in theEVE Onlineuniverse. We were immediately left to wonder what this meant forDust 514which already fills that shooter role but as a PS3 exclusive. Cyberpunk 2077is getting its anticipated Update 2.3 tomorrow. While it adds some cool stuff (and opens the game up to Mac users), it’s certainly not one of its biggest. What’s more, this update will probably be the game’s last, and what a ride it has been to get here. On July 17,Cyberpunk 2077is set to receive its likely final patch. Bringing over a lot of new cool features, such as Delamain auto-driving your vehicle while you take cool screenshots....
