The Long Dark shows off its story ahead of early 2016 launch

‘Don’t let this new world break you’ I’ve been interested inThe Long Dark, an artsy flourish in the open world survival simulator mold, since it launched on Kickstartertwo years ago. It has since been released on Early Access, and even got a major updateearly this year, but one thing kept out of view has been the game’s narrative (they’ve even got the voices of MaleShepard andDeus Ex‘s Adam Jensen). The above trailer delves into the story and its two playable protagonists; story mode will be available inThe Long Dark‘s early 2016 launch....

RIP, you little cube Microsoft and Nintendo have been buddying up for a while now: but this is something else entirely! The ‘Breaking Bad VR Experience’ will be coming to PlayStation VR

BITCH! Straight out of left field, Sony has announced that they are teaming up with writer/director Vince Gilligan to create a “Breaking Bad VR Experience” for PlayStation VR. While this will be available on PS4, it is decidedly a non-gaming experience. Sony Interactive Entertainment America President Shawn Layden says this deal came about because of the shift of the PlayStation Group’s HQ from Tokyo to California. “Having the epicenter of PlayStation closer to Hollywood and closer to where all the online action is has been really beneficial,” Layden states....

There’s already a Bowsette amiibo

Pandora’s box is open You’ve no doubt seen the fan art by now. What started as an official new Nintendo character namedPeachettehas since become a free-for-all of funny, original, weird, and yes sultry fan characters.Bowsette has really caught on, but the internet is running wild with the far-reaching idea that a crown power-up can reimagine familiar Nintendo foes. Our favorite might just bePrincess Chain Chomp. I should’ve expected that custom amiibo makers would also be on the case....

This Zelda: Breath of the Wild “Hyrule Discovery” series from Nintendo is a great way to relive the game

Time to revisit Lanaryu I could look atZelda: Breath of the Wildimages and videos indefinitely. I mean, I certainly have for the past six years, and I don’t see that trend stopping anytime soon. Nintendo’s official “Hyrule Discovery” series, which presents regions from the game like a real-life travel video/magazine spread, is proof of that. Although the page is technically part of Nintendo of Japan’s site, you may use in-browser translation tools to get the gist....

Torchlight II’s intro cinematic links story to Torchlight

It turns out Ordrak is still a problem inTorchlight IIeven after he’s dead. Like most fantasy villains, death is not really an issue for him. This trailer shows three heroes trying to kill him yet again, after the events inTorchlight. It doesn’t show off any new gameplay, and the story is not necessarily that important in a game like this, but it’s still a really fun trailer. I wanted to playTorchlight IIbefore I saw this, and I want to play it even more now....
