If you have the labo kit for it Nintendo has just applied update 3.1 toSuper Smash Bros. Ultimatewith their patented evening time (US) patch drop, and it brings several new features into the mix, including VR support. In case you’ve been living under a rock (VR will have that effect on people),Nintendo’s version of VRinvolves a Labo kit set of goggles. Basically the Switch slides into a little slot as the screen, and the goggles allow you to decipher that screen in VR....

Classics As part of Nintendo’s “growing library of classics,” two more NES games will be joining the Switch Online suite:Kirby’s AdventureandSuper Mario Bros. 2. In case you haven’t been keeping up, one of Nintendo’s few “extras” for Switch Online beyond the ability to actually play games online is a retro warehouse of sorts that houses a number of retro games, specifically of the NES variety at this time. It’s rumored that the company will expand into the SNES and (hopefully) N64/GameCube arenas at some point but for now it’s NES-only....

Even though theAssassin’s Creedseries has never had a season pass before, it’s not surprising that Ubisoft is starting now, with arguably the biggest franchise hype they’ve ever had in tow. When the game launches, you can pick up theAssassin’s Creed III Gold Editionat $89.99, which will net you a season pass. TheACIII Gold EditionandAC3 Liberationpack is available for $119.99, if you have tons of cash to blow onAssassin’s Creed. You can also pick up the pass separately, but there’s no word on the exact price at this time (you can probably assume $30 given theGoldprice)....

Digimon are the champions! As we wait for the final episodes ofDigimon Adventure tri.,the sequel series where the original cast are teenagers, to launch, Toei Animation and Shout! Factory are showing the fourth movie,Digimon Adventure tri: Loss, for one day in the U.S. on February 1. Just like the previous showings, it’ll feature the English dub. While I wasn’t a fan of the direction the films took during the third one, I’m glad that people will get to see a good number of the voice actors from Saban’s version of the original series reprise their roles....
