Ghosts in the Machine The cute (and surprisinglyamazing)Machinariumis now available for purchaseon PS4. The game originally launched in 2009 on PC and eventually got ports to Mac, Android, iOS, PS3, and PS Vita before now coming to Sony’s latest console. It doesn’t feature cross-buy (and is a few dollars more expensive), but the game is well worth playing. If you haven’t picked up any version yet, you couldn’t go wrong with any of the ports....
It appears as though the sci-fi RPGMass Effecthas taken its first big step toward becoming a movie.Kotaku(viaVariety) are reporting that big time comic book movie producer Avi Arad has optioned the rights ofMass Effectfrom Electronic Arts. The only thing Arad has to do from this point on is to hire writers, hire a director, and find a studio. Those are all incredibly easy things to do, so expectMass Effectto hit theatres some time next week....
As you may recall, I recentlyinterviewed Ian Flynn, the writer of Archie’sMega Mancomic. When I was trimming down the Skype text dump so that it didn’t run 50 pages, I chopped off a bit towards the end when Ian briefly mentioned the story arc following theMega Man 2adaptation. It was very vague and I figured we’d hear specific details in the near future, so I left that part on the cutting board....

The video recaps the new costumes and coliseums, including a fourth-wall-breaking literal “boss” fight. I enjoyAutomata‘s combat enough that something like this could be worth getting even at that price, but I really should wait until I’m further into the game....
E3 2018 was the big day We’re just days awayfrom the last Masahiro Sakurai reveal forSmash Ultimate,and when that’s it, that’s it. While there could be an opportunity for a surprise announcement of another pass, or even another DLC character down the line, Sakurai has made it clear that this is the end of the line forSmash Ultimate. These will be for our most popular characters like Mario and Link. Sleep monitor announced Nintendo revealed its first foray into thequality of life businesstoday, announcing a non-wearable sleep monitor designed to help people develop better sleeping habits. The project is a collaboration with ResMed, a manufacturer of sleep disorder treatment products. Along with Nintendo, the company hopes to provide individuals with the tools to visualize and combat fatigue. To do this, the bedside device will observe body movement, breathing, and heartbeat via radio frequency and transmit the data to cloud servers for analysis....
The Kickstarter campaign forRatatan,a new game from the minds behindPatapon, has ended with a whopping total of almost ¥220,000,000 Japanese Yen, close to $1.5 million USD, in pledges from more than 14,500 backers. This makesRatatanthe34th most funded video gamein Kickstarter’s history. The campaign FAQs say that we can expect a full release ofRatatanbyApril 2025, with a closed beta starting in late 2024. Ratatanis a strategy rhythm game where you play a Ratatan leading an army of adorable cyclopic Cobuns in battle....
Physical release planned for PS4 and Nintendo Switch Creature in the Well, theBreakout-with-swords action game from Flight School Studio, is rounding out its release list with one more port. The PlayStation 4 version launches on July 31, 2025. If you’re someone with a penchant for video games inspired by pinball, it’s worth a look. We liked this game! CJ gave the Switch editionan eight out of ten. While he saw some room for improvement – issues with difficulty pacing and repetition stood out – CJ got a kick out of the world....

GOAL! Rocket Leagueis so much fun. Last year I did Extra Life with my cousin and we raised a few hundred bucks for charity. During the last few hours,Rocket Leaguewas one of the games we “played” as drool leaked out of our mouths like two catatonic lumps of crap. The game has been extremely well supported both on PC and console, with massive performance improvements coming to console for free, and some cool new maps, modes, and customization options....
