Final Fantasy XIV’s Gold Saucer is amazing if you like Triple Triad or Chocobo Racing

Everything else is minor The Gold Saucer is finally a part ofFinal Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and it’s glorious. That classic music returns, as do the iconic Triple Triad and Chocobo Racing activities. It’s amazing how much content Square Enix has added to its newest MMO over time, more than justifying the subscription fee. It is living proof that not every MMO has to go free-to-play. I had a chance to take the Saucer for a spin this week, and was pretty happy with what I found....

Flashback HD remake gets a new story trailer

The quest for identity continues Ubisoft has released a brand new trailer focusing on the story for VectorCell’s upcoming 2.5D remake,Flashback HD. Like many fans, I remain on the fence regarding the new direction they’ve decided to take with this time-honored classic. The originalFlashbackremains one of my favorite side-scrolling action adventure titles of the mid-90s, and while it’s deserving of the attention, it certainly wouldn’t be the first time I’ve been disappointed by someone’s attempt to update a game I hold so dear....

Gunman Clive reaches guest star status

In Japan only… for now As we’re all hopefully accustomed to by now, when Nintendo airs a new Direct, the Japanese version tends to have games not present in its western siblings. Drancia Sagawas announced and subsequently today released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan....

Loving that box art The peculiar ecosystem simulatorBirthdays the Beginningis coming to Nintendo Switch asHappy Birthdays, and as announced today, the port will hit North America on June 5 and Europe on June 8. Hitman is getting a ‘Summer Bonus Episode’ to tide you over until Episode 4

Takes place during 2 and 3 With Marrakesh in the bag, Square Enix is providing a special episode ofHitmansoon dubbed the “Summer Bonus Episode.” It’ll take place in bothMarrakeshandSapienza, dealing with new missions (a sci-fi blockbuster shoot and a construction mole), and will drop on July 19 — before Episode 4 hits. Having just caught up I think I’m in agreement with the general crowd. Sapienza is the clear-cut best episode, and Paris and Marrakesh sort of fall short of the game’s potential when it comes to sandboxes....
