One of the more “off-radar” releases of 2022 is Asobo Studio’s grim-looking sequelA Plague Tale: Requiem, the sequel to cult 2019 stealth adventureA Plague Tale: Innocence.I’m very much a proponent of that release, which took me by surprise with its passion, artistic integrity, and compelling characters and setting. While the sequel’s release date is still something of a mystery, publisher Focus Entertainment has revealed several pre-order bonuses, as well as an impressive Collector’s Edition.
Available to pre-order now from theFocus Entertainment Store, theA Plague Tale: RequiemCollector’s Edition sports a copy of the game on PS5, PC, or Xbox Series X (physical for consoles, digital for PC), along with three A4 lithographs, a pressed vinyl copy of Olivier Derivière’s soundtrack, a metallic feather brooch, and exclusive alternative boxart. The centerpiece of the set is an eight-inch resin statue of the heroic de Rune children, Amicia and Hugo. The set retailer for a princely $189.99 USD.
For pre-ordering the standard edition ofA Plague Tale: Requiem, players will bag themselves a selection of in-game goodies. These include 13 cosmetic items for Amicia de Rune, The Red Damsel skin for her trusty crossbow, (I guess the slingshot outgrew its usefulness), and some bonus crafting material for those handy poisons and remedies — all of which will help our young resistance in their continued fight against The Inquisition and the terrifying army of black rats plaguing the country.
