According to Nintendo,Pokken Tournamentis now part of the Pokemon World Championship event. Starting this month on February 27, prospective players can head over to select GameStops (list below) to qualify. At that point they’ll head to to the Nintendo World Store in New York on March 17, then the top two head to Ohio from July 1-3, at which point they may go to the World Championship.
It seems odd that the game isn’t even out yet, so people who have visited Japan have a big advantage. Though if you win the GameStop round, a “pro” gamer will coach you before the New York round.
