With alien assassins and laser guns
A Small Favor, developed by two-man team ClickShake Games, has some big shoes to fill. Cartoonist and animator Jay Ziebarth describes it as a combination of “the gritty, futuristic adventure style ofFull ThrottleandBeneath a Steel Skywith the side scrolling sci-fi exploration ofAnother World.” Name dropping three of my favorite games is certainly enough to pique my interest.
The adventure game is based on abrowser gamefrom the same team, and follows an alien assassin as he does “favors” for unpleasant gangsters. When he comes across an opportunity to wipe the debt that forces him to work clean, he embarks his toughest mission.

Puzzles promise to run the gamut from traditional inventory conundrums, to assassinations and violent coercion. The nameless protagonist always has his trusty laser gun by his side, and he can use it to intimidate other characters and “make life and death decisions.”
With its apparent focus on exploration and interesting puzzles, I’m certainly intrigued.A Small Favorwill launch on Mac and PC, and a Kickstarter campaign for the project will be kicking off later this month.
