Just wasn’t doing it for me
I’m coming atArmored Core: Verdict Dayfrom an outsider perspective. Those of you that enjoyedV? You’ll like this one, I’m sure. It’s a lot likeV, as a lot of the features you got out of that game pretty much carries over intoVerdict Day. You can even carry over your custom built mechs fromVtoo.
A couple of the multiplayer modes do seem appealing, such as thefaction wars whereyou can join one of three sides. You can participate in a week long war, after which the clan with the most points or land wins and then everything resets. The operator mode is novel as well, where one person is given a real-time strategy style of controls and viewpoint to support their four teammates. Granted, these are appealing modesifyou can find enough people to play with.

For everyone else, to put it bluntly, avoid this one. From the clunky controls, to the visuals that make this game look like it would fit right in with the launch lineup of the current generation of consoles — I got no enjoyment out of anything during my playtime.
