Viva la revolucion

There are always a few usual suspects competing with new releases at the top of the sales charts in any given month.Grand Theft Auto V,FIFA,Call of Duty— these are all games that continue to sell well long beyond their launch window. Last month, an unexpected title showed up and took the top spot, although it probably drove hardly any revenue.

Assassin’s Creed Unity, the 2014Assassin’s Creedthat’s still mocked to this day, was the best-seller across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and Asia in February. That’s because it was being hocked on Steam for less than a cent in both South Korea and Indonesia. That’s, evidently, an offer that a lot of people couldn’t refuse.

As for the rest of the best-sellers, it’s mostly those games mentioned above with some more Ubisoft peppered in for good measure. AfterAssassin’s Creed Unity, the top five is made up ofGrand Theft Auto V,FIFA 20,Rainbow Six Siege, andThe Division 2in that order.
