Full steam ahead
It’s a lot of projects in development, and a lot of plates spinning for CD Projekt. The company also recently announced that its next-gen versions ofThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, areslipping out of Q2 and moving in-house.
Thoughrecent comments have reaffirmedthat development is still going strong and steady on the newCyberpunk 2077expansion and updates, it looks like development is also gradually shifting. A slide from CD Projekt’s financial presentation detailed how its dev teams are engaged in ongoing efforts. It looks like they’ve been moving fromCyberpunk 2077onto other projects.

WithCyberpunk 2077hitting over 18 million copies sold, it sounds like it’s still somehow turned out well for CD Projekt, despiteits launch state. Thenext-gen updatecertainly added a lot to the game. With that support bar forCyberpunkgetting lower, CD Projekt might be ready to move on from the fix-it phase.
Now, I guess we’ll be waiting until 2023 to see what new stories await in Night City.
