Warzone 2.0is truly free-to-play

The short answer is no, you don’t need a subscription to PlayStation Plus (or the Microsoft equivalent, Xbox Live Gold) in order to playWarzone 2.0.As stated above, theWarzonemodes, as well asDMZ, are part of the game’s free-to-play model, so you’re good to jump into those sans subscription. It’s only the multiplayer that will require PS Plus, but if you’re not into that anyway, you’re off the hook. All you need to do is downloadWarzoneto your console of choice from the store, and you’re ready to go, no strings attached.

A PlayStation Plus subscription will run you $60 a year, or $10 a month if you prefer. Keep in mind that there are other perks to PS Plus, like getting a few free games each month for example, or discounts on select titles. Xbox Live Gold shares the same costs as its competitor, and also gives you access to free games and other discounts in the store.
