Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisisretells stories from bothFinal Fantasy 7as well as spinoffs likeCrisis Core. Given that these games have English dubs, you might reasonably assume thatEver Crisiswould have one as well. After all, the game borrows a lot fromFinal Fantasy 7 Remake,so carrying that over sounds natural. Right?
Unfortunately,Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisisdoes not have an English dub of any kind. The game hits you with a Japanese voiceover with subtitles right at the start. Admittedly, most story sequences don’t have any voice acting to begin with, so this issue becomes less prevalent as you go. However, you’ll have to get used to hearing Japanese voices in battles.

Sound effects and voices are tied to the same slider in the game’s settings. In other words, there’s no way to turn off the voices by themselves. Hopefully this will change in the future.
WillFinal Fantasy 7: Ever Crisisever have an English dub in the future?
I wouldn’t count on it. Square Enix tends to keep costs down with their gacha games in the West, presumably due to a relative lack of spending on in-app purchases. We can see this with games likeFinal Fantasy Record Keeper, whichshut down its global version in Septemberwhile its Japanese counterpart is ongoing.
Games like Square Enix’sOctopath Traveler: Champions of the Continenthave come to us with no English dub, so we can see clear precedent here. We can’t say for certain that an English dub willnevercome toEver Crisis, but definitely don’t hold out waiting for one.
