You could say it Survived

Fear struck among theDigimonfaithful when news surfaced of yet anotherDigimon Survivedelay. As it turns out, it was just a media-side gaffe.

The new issue of “Weekly Famitsu” states thatDigimon Survive‘s release window is TBA, when previous issues said 2020. That rightly led to people assuming it had suffered another delay. It wouldn’t be all that crazy consideringDigimon Survivewas already delayed in 2019, and no one’s working situation is completely normal right now.

However, Bandai Namco says that the change is a misprint. In a statement to Gematsu, a Bandai Namco representative confirms thatDigimon Surviveis still set for 2020, and that this is merely “a typo on Famitsu’s side.”

Digimon Surviveis a fairly radical departure from otherDigimongames likeCyber Sleuth. This is a turn-based tactical game, it’s set in a different dimension, and the presentation has a visual novel bent. Also, the trailer that’s embedded above touts death, danger, and tough decisions. It sounds like a wild ride. We’ll find out whenDigimon Survivedefinitely absolutely positively releases in 2020 on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
