Tecmo Koei has today announced that a fully online-capable version of its venerableDynasty Warriorsseries,Dynasty Warriors Online, is coming to North America and Europe. The free-to-play online title combines familiar hack n’ slash gameplay with an MMO setting, and it will probably be awesome.
Dynasty Warriors Onlinebegan life in 2007 on the PC, but it has never left Japan. The game wasannounced for the PS3last year, but no word of a Western release was given. No release date has yet been revealed, but closed beta testing is set to being soon, and news should be on the horizon.
As aDynasty Warriorsfan, I am very excited. Online army-based hack n’ slash is just what this series needs more of, and I can’t wait to try it out. So Koei … how do we get in on this beta?
