We’ll have to double dip, though
Yesterday, Sony inadvertently published a video for Level-5’s role-playing gameDark Cloudahead of its (unannounced) release on PlayStation 4 via emulation. Now, we have our confirmation.
Eight souped-up PS2 titles are headed to PS4 tomorrow:
These and future titles will support 1080p (up-rendered), Trophies, and PS4 system features like Remote Play, broadcasting, and Share Play. Looking ahead, more PS2 games will be made available on a “regular basis,” includingPaRappa the Rapper 2andThe King of Fighters 2000. Also, based on recentratings board listings,Dark Cloud 2andApe Escape 2(good lord, yes!).
I’m not thrilled about the prospect of paying for some of these gamesagain, but if it meansimproved image quality and performance, and having quick access on my current console of choice, I’ll do it.
