There are a whole myriad of currencies in Final Fantasy XIV, from Gil to Tomestones. One that often gets overlooked is Seals and in particular, Allied Seals. The ARR currency can get you some pretty nice rewards, so here’s what you need to know.
The Hunt
The easiest way to hoard Allied Seals is to take part in The Hunt by visiting the Hunt Board in your chosen Grand Company’s headquarters. Here, you’ll be able to pick up two kinds of hunts: daily clan mark bills and weekly clan mark bills.
Here are the different types of mark and their reward:

As you can guess, daily hunts reset each day at 3 pm. Weekly hunts reset every Tuesday at the same time.
You can also occasionally find A rank and S rank marks in the A Realm Reborn areas. These are easy to kill with a level capped battle class and you can earn a nice amount of Allied Seals per enemy killed.

Blue Mage
Once you’ve completed the level 60 quest “Blue Scream of Death”, you’ll have access to the Blue Mage Log and a whole new opportunity to earn Allied Seals becomes available to you. To see what’s in your Blue Mage Log, open up the Blue Mage Spellbook from the menu and switch the tab in the pop-up window.
Each duty has a first time completion bonus and every week, there will be select duties which offer a bonus number of Seals.

The downside to this option is that the Blue Mage Log is geared towards party play and cannot be played unrestricted, so if you’re unable to find a party of Blue Mages, you won’t be able to use this as a way of gathering Allied Seals.
Allied Seals rewards
The rewards available from your Huntmaster will vary slightly, depending on which Grand Company you’re a part of, but all of them have some shared rewards.
Here’s a list of shared items, not including the basic materials they offer:
