Rune Factory Oceanswill be the next entry in this “fantasyHarvest Moon” spin off series. Looks likeFrontiermay be the last Wii exclusiveRune Factory, as this new game is coming to the PS3 as well, with Move support. Maybe that will help to get people playing this highly underrated series.
In a world whereFarmvilleand other resource management time wasters have millions of fans, I’m surprised that this series isn’t more popular. MaybeRune Factoryis too action-oriented, too romantic, or is just weird for the mainstream? I don’t know, butOceansis definitely going to freak some people out. It’s about a man and woman who are forced to inhabit the same body. I’m not 100% on this (due to my crappy Japanese), but I think they actually get to take turns between having a man’s and a woman’s parts. The woman gets uncomfortable when the guy is in control of the body, and he flirts with girls, and vice versa.

That’s perfect for the series, as at its core,Rune Factoryis about combining girly and manly things into one seamless package. Plus, Steve Martin and Lilly Tomlin rocked that concept inAll of Me,so I don’t see why it couldn’t work in a game. That’s not all. The game also lets you command a giant rock monster who stomps across the sea and punch giant lizards. All that, and violent farming too? Sign me the f*ck up!
