How to find new Pig types in Minecraft
Minecraft’snew Cold and Warm pig types are only available in the game’s25w02a Snapshotand beyond. If you haven’t downloaded theseMinecraftversions, you’ll need to create a new installation in Java Edition or select the latest Preview/Release in Bedrock.
Updating Minecraft Java Edition

Depending on when you playMinecraft, 1.22 and beyond may already be released, allowing you to experience it in its entirety. Otherwise, you’ll need to download the Snapshot and find the Cold and Warm pigs through it.

With that done, you’re ready to find some Warm and Cold pigs. Regular pigs spawn anywhere, while these two types have particular biomes they prefer.
Cold pig location
Cold pigs spawn exclusively in cold biomes. AlthoughMinecraftdoesn’t have many of these, you’ll primarily find them intaiga biomes, including snowy and non-snowy variants. Generally speaking, any region with snow and ice will have good odds of spawning in a group of Cold pigs.
Warm pig location
Warm pigs, on the other hand, spawn in biomes that are usually considered hot in temperature. Below are some biomes you can expect to find groups of Warm pigs:
While any warm region will do the trick for finding these pigs, you’ll have the easiest time locating them in jungles and savanna biomes. More often than not, you’ll also find normal pig variants wandering around in similar locations.
Like usual, you’ll find regular pigs in just about any biome, giving you free rein to explore the world as you please and encounter them on your travels. By the time you locate Cold and Warm pigs, you’ll likely spot a few regular pigs, too.
