Reaching the highest level of power inHades 2takes rare resources. As you made your way up the ladder, suddenly you’re tasked with finding an apple made of gold. But where is it? Here’s how to get the coveted Golden Apple inHades 2.
To get the Golden Apple inHades 2, you need to defeat the Guardian of the Rift of Thessaly. The Guardian, or named boss, of the Region is not a pushover, mind. It’s a hard fight to get there, requiring Melinoë to hop across battleships like an indecisive stowaway. And once you do reach the boss, they shred you in moments if you’re not prepared. That apple better be damn tasty.
Note: There may be some spoilers below regarding the surface area ofHades 2. If you don’t want to be spoiled, then I suggest making more progress in the game.
Hades 2: How to get the Golden Apple
To get the Golden Apple inHades 2, you first need to remove the wards guarding you from the surface and complete the incantation allowing you to go there without taking damage. In other words, it’s going to take some effort. If you haven’t gotten that far yet, I suggest pausing for a moment to check out our guides onhow to get to the surfaceandhow to remove the blood cursethat keeps Melinoë down below. If you’re already past this point, scroll to the next paragraph.
Once you’re able to survive the harsh atmosphere, you must clear the City of Ephyra and take out its Guardian. Doing so will open up the Rift of Thessaly pier, allowing you to begin your fight across multiple ships as you make your way to Mount Olympus.
But the Guardian blocks your final approach. Remember Eris? Well, she’s back and packin’ heat!To get the Golden Apple inHades 2, you must defeat Eris, the Guardian of the Rift of Thessaly. Eris is armed with the Adamant Rail, the “gun” weapon from the list of Infernal Arms in the original game. It’s a tough fight, and I onlyjustmanaged to do it myself after burning through several Death Defiance chances. But if you prevail, the Golden Apple is yours.

Where to use the Golden Apple inHades 2
According to the item’s description, the Golden Apple is used for incantations “involving beauty and fertility.” Well, there are few things more gorgeous than the gods ofHades 2. It makes sense thatyou need the apple for an incantation that gives you insight into their boons, allowing you to unlock a list of them in your Book of Shadows.
The Golden Apple is alsoused tounlock a weapon Aspectfor the wands.
And you need to spend one tounlock Arcana CardXXIV – Divinity. The card at default value makes it so boons offered have a +10% chance to become Epic rarity.
There’s no doubt that the Golden Apple will continue proving itself an immensely valuable resource inHades 2.It’s too bad that you’ll have to deal with Eris’ crap every time. Oh well, someone has to teach her a lesson.
