A multiplayer survival game full of dinosaurs
The Stomping Landis a multiplayer survival game planned for the PC where players have to hunt dinosaurs. The game is centered around eating dino meat, and you have to kill small dinosaurs so you’re able to get food. Hunting them is easy, the tough part is dealing with large dinos like the T-rex. You can’t harm a T-rex with just your arrows, so you’ll have to create traps and salvage resources in order to buy yourself enough time to gather meat.
That whole aspect sounds great, butI’m a little concerned about the multiplayer elements. Players can work together to hunt for meat, and can build campsites together where you can store food. The more meat that’s stored in a camp, the fewer dinosaurs there will be to hunt. This will cause other players to seek your campsite and destroy it all in an effort to become the dominating tribe.
I’m intrigued, and will definitely be keeping an eyeon how this Kickstarter progresses. The donation drive just started, and has already achieved the $20,000 target it was aiming for. There are some stretch goals (of course), with plans for Oculus Rift support if $200,000 is raised.
