No set date though

More than half a year removed fromMass Effect: Andromeda‘s launch, BioWare’s underwhelming RPG is set to make a reappearance during the holiday months. It seems like the exact type of game that will be a staple of Black Friday video game deals. It’s also going to be a major player for EA’s subscription service.

Today, EA shared itsrough roadmap for EA Accessthrough the end of the year. AmongNeed for Speed: PaybackandStar Wars Battlefront IIearly trials, it’s noted thatMass Effect: Andromedawill make its way to EA Access sometime between now and the end of the year. It’ll be available on both PC and Xbox One; PS4 doesn’t have any sort of EA Access.

Given the tepid reception toAndromeda, this seems like the natural conclusion for it. Long gone are the days where it’s raking in full-price sales. Now it’s destined for deep discounts and to drive EA Access subscriptions. There are surely people willing to take a $10 flyer to spend a month seeing what all the fuss was about.
