Stylistic mystery gameReturn of the Obra Dinnis coming to PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this fall, following its critically acclaimed release on PC in 2018.

Developed byPapers, Pleasecreator Lucas Pope,Return of the Obra Dinnis a strange tale set in the early 1800s and follows an insurance investigator’s efforts to solve the mystery of the titular ship, that pulls into harbor one morning littered with grim corpses.

The player explores the Obra Dinn in first-person, and thanks to the use of a time-rewinding pocket-watch – the Memento Mortem – must ascertain the fates of those on-board, using deduction, prediction and rudimentary forensic abilities. All of this mystery is presented in highly-stylised “1-bit” visuals, which recall the look of early Macintosh titles in the ’80s.

Return of the Obra Dinnis available now on PC and Mac, and sails onto PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this fall.
