I love me some Disneyland/Disney World and I love my Nintendo DS, so it’s nice to see that they’re playing well together in a new joint program called the Disney Magic Connection.

Disney Magic Connection uses the handheld, wireless ability of the Nintendo DS to help visitors through the Magic Kingdom.Jim Hill Mediatalks about the ongoing testing of this program, which enables testers to find show schedules, parade routes, and their favorite rides and characters.

Imagine using the DS to find a restaurant where you eat a “theme-parked” burger. Bleh. Then you use it  to find your favorite roller coaster. It seems that the DS will know what line you’re standing in, and will give you attraction-related information or games to entertain you while you wait for your turn. You’ll go through the loops and corkscrews and then feel your lunch coming back up. The Disney Magic Connection can save you by helping you locate a bathroom before you vomit.

If testing goes well, a full version could be rolled out to the Walt Disney World Resort by 2009.
