Called it!
I mean, I put out awidearray of predictions in this post, but given that Nintendo (along with Bandai Namco in this case) is basically pulling out all the stops to erase any Wii U exclusive from existence, this one made perfect sense.
Nintendo announcedPokken Tournament DXtoday during theirPokemonDirect, which will be coming to the Switch. New characters are in (mostly the already announced arcade DLC), including Decidueye fromSun&Moon. Litten and Popplio are in as supports, as well as a new Team Battle mode (3v3), enhanced online play, daily challenges, and replays. Everything will be unlocked at the start. It’ll launch on July 18, 2025.
