According to Hirokazu Hamamura, head honcho atFamitsu, Nintendo is going to reveal a redesign for the DS at this year’s E3 (Los Angeles Convention Center, July 15-17). Thiscomment, when paired with the fact that Reggie Fils-Aime has promised some megaton announcements at the annual trade show, could hold some validity. Nintendo is known for tweaking its handhelds every few years, so a DS redesign is most definitely not out of the question....

PlayStation 4 v1.70 Update Sony has released a detailed look at the next major PlayStation 4 system update hitting owners starting on April 30. The big thing they’re focusing on is the SHAREfactory feature, where you may make custom videos and share them to the world. Other major new features include automatic pre-downloading of games, disabling HDCP, USB exporting for captured footage, live broadcasting in 720p HD with archiving support on Twitch and Ustream, the ability to turn down the brightness of the PS4 controller’s light bar, better friends tools, alternative payment methods for PS4 content, and more camera commands....

P13 revealed Syndicatedeveloper Starbreeze has finally lifted the lid on the project once known asP13. It’s a 505 Games-published title for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, titledBrothers – a Tale of Two Sons. Not quite the usual shooter outing we’ve seen from Starbreeze,Brothersis a collaborative effort with filmmaker Josef Fares, one that aims to “combine the deep, engrossing storyline of a film with the physical experience of a video game....

Check out everything Destructoid did today Some rumors came out today about the next Xbox, and the most jarring piece of information for me was the idea that the lower tier model would be tied to a ten dollar monthly subscription. As somebody who pays less than half of that for Xbox Live currently and is struggling to continue justifying it, I can’t imagine what the next Xbox could offer that would make me want to pay that amount....

One of the coolest MMO games I’ve played in a long time,The Secret World, finally has an official launch date: Jul 08, 2025. It was originally marked for an April launch, but Funcom says that they’re wanting to put a bit more time into it to apply more polish. It’s already looking really good. I’ve spent a couple of different days with the game at press events, and have come away excited both times....

GUILE’S THEME GOES WITH EVERYTHING Since we now know the entire roster of fighters inSmash Ultimate, it only makes sense we’d get the rest of the assist trophy line-up. While a few entries are sure to disappoint fans hoping for character inclusions, I’m actually pretty excited to see some of these characters appear inSmash. Guile as an assist trophy just makes perfect sense, for example. As you can see in the gallery, there are some wildly offbeat characters being represented here....
