Sony has rolled out its“Essential” tier offeringsfor all PlayStation Plus users today. As of today, all PS Plus members can download March’s games, which include Electronic Arts’Battlefield 2042, Bandai Namco’sCode Vein, and Xbox Game StudiosMinecraft Dungeons. Released in the fall of 2021,Battlefield 2042is the 12th mainline installment in the Battlefield series, once again developed by EA subsidiary studio, DICE. This entry features all of the land, sea, and air combat one has come to expect from the series, but earned infamy for its litany ofbugs, balancing issues, and technical problems upon launch, while also receiving derision for being the first title in the series not to offer a single-player campaign, focusing solely on multiplayer....

Approved by Capcom and ready to go Mega Man: The Board Gameis coming along rather nicely, and is entering the final stages of development. Jasco is handling the game itself, and although they had to get the Capcom seal of approval on just about every facet of the project even after the initial go-ahead, it looks like they’re winding down. Mojang just announced the return of one of the most helpful mobsMinecrafthas ever seen. As of today, you can playtest the Copper Golem and its matching copper tools, letting you experience the joys of chest organization while appreciating its adorableness. The Copper Golem first appeared duringMinecraft’sMob Vote 2021, where it and the Glare lost against the Allay. Forgotten by the community for some time, it’s now available in the game as part of a beta testing update in Bedrock Edition, with Java receiving the update sometime in the near future....

Get the FRONK outta here! Today’s Nintendo Direct showed off some new games from one of my most anticipated titles of the year:Game and Wario. One such game, titled Island, has players launching “Fronks” onto a spinning target to get as many points as possible. While not the most intriguing game mode, using the word Fronks is awkwardly satisfying. Plus, it reminds me of theSuper Monkey Balltarget minigame, which my friends and I have spent a lot of time on....

This morning’s announcement ofPikmin 3 Deluxe Editionon Switchcame alongside an unceremonious axing of the last-gen version of the game. Pikmin 3has been delisted from the Wii U eShop ahead of its October 30 launch on Switch. AsNintendo Everythingreports, there’s no way to buyPikmin 3digitally directly from Nintendo right now. Dragon Quest Hero is coming sooner rather than later In a fairly innocuous trailer going over upcoming releases, Nintendo basically confirmed that the nextSmash Bros. UltimateDLC will be landing soon. While one could speculate thatDragon Quest’s“Hero”will be heading in July, I’m more sold on it being in the general Summer 2019 window than this month. It certainly is odd to throw in literal seconds of footage alongside a bunch of other July releases, but the lack of a concrete data makes me think otherwise....

Enterbrain and Atlus will combine forces in Japan to release a specialPersona 4 The Goldenbundle called Famitsu DX Pack. This pack will contain the game, six posters featuringP4artwork, 10 post cards and a PS Vita case designed to look like Marie’s bag. Enterbrain’s site will sell this set exclusively for 10,290 yen (~$128). Famitsuhas images of the included goodies as well as sketches of the posters. It’s lookin’ pretty…pretty good A couple of days ago, Tri-Ace and Sega announcedPhantasy Star Nova, a game for the PlayStation Vita that’s set for 2014. Apparently it will take place in the same world asPhantasy Star Online 2, and will feature four player co-op. It’s still a ways away, but in the meantime, anofficial site has opened, showing off a bit more gameplay. I think it’s looking pretty solid, but don’t take my word for it — here, have some screenshots....
