Bionic Commandofever has taken hold! With today’s release ofBionic Commando Rearmedon Xbox LIVE Arcade, claw arms and exploding heads is all we can think about. But for those looking for the next-gen fix, the wait might be a little longer than expected. According to retailerGameStop, the GRIN-developed next-gen version ofBionic Commandowon’t be shipping until July 28, 2025. When we contacted the game’s producer Ben Judd for clarification, he told us the game was on track for release between December 2008 and March 2009....

There have been mixed feelings concerning 2K Games’ upcomingtake on theXCOMfranchise, and the fact that it bears little resemblance to the original series. According to 2K’s president, the reason for this is simple — strategy games just aren’t relevant enough for these modern times. “The 90s generation of gamers all loveXCOMand we own the IP, so we thought okay, what do we do with it? Every studio we had wanted to do it and each one had its own spin on it,” said Christoph Hartmann....

Pick from a range of publishers, then games GameFly is offering a bundle-based promotion of digital releases this week, where customers can select a specific publisher and then build a bundle of three to five games from a selection of that publisher’s titles. Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Valve, 2K, Square Enix and Rockstar are participating in the sale, each with a decent variety of offerings. There are some solid savings in here, but there’s at best two games I would want out of any one publisher’s titles in the sale, so I’m going to skip this one....

‘We are committed to…releasing it when it’s ready’ CCP CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson announced live on the 2018EVEFanfest stage today thatProject Nova, their long-awaited shooter that rose from the ashes of the defunctDust 514, is still in active development. Last year Pétursson noted that they couldn’t share that many details on the game, but now he’s a little less sheepish. End of Nationsis one of those free-to-play games that has managed to escape my ever-watchful eye as of late; it caught my attention last year, but has since fallen away. Simply the idea of a strategy MMO, or rather one that isn’t facebook-based, is incredibly intriguing and with Trion Worlds behind it I’m even more curious. In this latest trailer we get a look at one of the two playable factions, the Liberation Front, and their units....
