UK-based humorist Danny Wallace is lending his voice and likeness toAssassin’s Creed 2. According to official release, Wallace’s character is a historian named Shaun Hastings who steers players and relates information about the environment. Noted as a “pivotal character,” it seems the funny-man scored a unique role. Wallace is the author of — among many other things — “Me and Yes Man,” a book that was twisted into a terrible Jim Carrey comedy flick....

Progress… Due to a rather unfortunate slip-up in the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One ports ofFinal Fantasy VII, the music restarts after every single random encounter with enemies. The issue appeared in the game’s Steam release, and folks were dismayed to see itresurface again this year in these new console ports. For a widely-loved video game with iconic music, the audio bug is a significant oversight. Thankfully, Square Enix has sent out a fix forFFVII–not only to address the faulty overworld music playback, but also the black screen that appeared when transitioning from cutscenes to gameplay....

Flying mount time Earlier this week Square Enix began taking pre-orders forFinal Fantasy XIV: Heavensward– the upcoming first expansion toFinal Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Releasing later this summer on June 23rd, the game retails for $39.99 on all its available platforms. ‘During the day, it’s a place of joy’ Five Nights at Freddy‘s is a new survival game where you play a graveyard shift security guard at a kid’s pizza joint. Apparently when darkness comes, the animatronic robots run amok and terrorize the establishment, and you have to keep them at bay. After a successful Steam Greenlight campaign the game released this week, and you may pick it up for $5 if the premise sounds like something you’d enjoy....

But first it needs to go through Kickstarter Flying Hamsterwas a shoot-’em-up (or should I say, “cute-’em-up“) for PSP, PS Vita, and iOS. Its sequel is not that, at all — it’s much more compelling. Fans of theWonder Boy/Monster Worldseries are going to want to take a look at this new action-adventure platformer. To be frank, I wasn’t into the cutesy aesthetic at first but such feelings disappeared the further into this Kickstarter pitch video I got....
