After putting in a solid couple of hours this past week, we’ve come back from it feeling more disinterested than burned. Firestorm certainty isn’t bad, hell, it’s a solid mode and great addition toBattlefield V— I just don’t think it’ll be as hot as the name suggests....

Fangs for the update Well, it wouldn’t be aVampire: The Masqueradegame without a delay — publisher Nacon has been tweaking its release schedule for 2022, and among the affected titles is Big Bad Wolf’s RPGVampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, which will no longer meet its February 2022 release date and will now launch on PC and console platforms on May 19. “Our focus is on crafting a world that draws you in, that requires you to make difficult decisions and live with the consequences,”said the team in a press release....

There’s actually some decent stuff here though Just as the seasons change, so too do the console generations. Not long ago — like, two weeks — the Xbox 360 was just last-gen. Now, it’s last-last-gen. Or, more succinctly and better-phrased, two gens ago. And that’s where you have to look to find the gems in December’s Games with Gold. There’s some decent stuff here, but it’s very old stuff. Highest on my list is Double Fine’sStacking, which is a puzzle adventure game about Russian stacking dolls in the industrial age....

Stealth is now more noticeable Stealth is minefield in any competitive game. If they aren’t stealth “enough” people who play that character will gravitate elsewhere, essentially rendering that roster slot underplayed and a waste of development time, and if they’re “too stealthy,” the rest of the userbase will get frustrated. Many developers, Riot Games and Valve included, have experimented with stealth to varying degrees of success. Blizzard originally had a hard stance on it inHeroes of the Storm, but rolled out some drastic changes for that tough-to-spot formula....

‘It is going to be a busy year’ Today is the day that I get to take the “Activision” tag out of aDestinystory. Yep, Bungieis jettisoning themselvesfrom the situation and now they’ll have to take care of the series all on their lonesome. Director Luke Smith (the same Luke Smith who is infamous for hismultiple instances of off-putting quotesand has mostly remained silent these past few years) took to Bungie’s blog to sort of explain things, and while it’s very vague, it does confirm a “busy year,” for the game, among a few other tidbits....
