GameStop will be separately giving out Mega Stones
The next Pokémon distribution event isn’t terribly exciting. From August 13 through September 17,Pokémon Xplayers can get Heracross andYplayers can get Pinsir through the Internet.
More importantly, GameStop will offer code unlocks in the US for the Mega Stones needed to Mega Evolve Heracross and Pinsir. Those will first be available August 18 while supplies last.
These Pokémon are normally version exclusives, but that doesn’t mean much now that the series has become online-enabled and trading is easier than ever. That said, I am glad the powers that be are planning to give out the Heracronite and Pinsirite Mega Stones.
This thing looks like it’s in the middle of a murder spree.
Here are some specifics, courtesy of The Pokémon Company:
The Lv. 50 Pinsir has an Adamant Nature and knows X-Scissor, Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Return. It will have one of two Abilities: the defensive Hyper Cutter Ability or Mold Breaker.
The Lv. 50 Heracross has an Adamant Nature and knows Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, Close Combat, and Megahorn. Its Ability, Swarm or Guts, will change to Skill Link during Mega Evolution.
