According to aSiliconerareport, the role-playing games’ worldwide sales eclipsed the 3 million mark in just three days. Meanwhile in Japan,Media CreateandFamitsuestimate domestic sales totals between 1.32 and 1.53 million.
The titles are currently available in North America, Japan, South Korea, and Australasia, but Europe is still waiting for the game. The launch is scheduled for this Friday, November 28.
To put those numbers into context, last yearPokémon XandYmoved more than4 million units in two days. It’s important to note that includes the European market, soOmega RubyandAlpha Sapphirestill have a chance to play catch up.
