2K Games’XCOMfirst-person shooter recently found its wayback in the newsafter the publisherwas found removingthe title’s official website and years-old videos. It’s not entirely clear what’s happened to this game or what state it’s in currently, but based on promotional materials sent to Video Gamer, it’s plausible we’ll find out shortly.

As detailed in the outlet’s video, signs are pointing towardXCOMand/or the rumored revamp of the project namedThe Bureau. These clues seem rather blatant, but that could be the point to avoid confusion and false hope. Would they really make it this easy, though?

Whatever it is (or isn’t) called, I’m intrigued. Personally, I’d love to see the vision for theXCOMshooter brought to fruition, even if it’s not actually called “XCOM” anywhere in the branding.
