Lo Wang returns

2013’sShadow Warriorreboot was pretty great. Developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital seem to think so too, as they have just announced a full follow-up, ingeniously titledShadow Warrior 2. Like most third-party titles these days, it’ll shuck the Wii U platform and be released on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2016.

This time, four player co-op (“online” is specifically mentioned) is included, as well as a procedurally generated mode. Customizable gear is in, as well as a level-up system of sorts that will allow you to change your main character’s stats by way of “stone” items.

All of this sounds good, I just hope it doesn’t get too ambitious. The reboot was excellent because it felt like an old-school experience. This has a lot of moving parts, but I don’t have any real reason to doubt Flying Wild Hog.

The opening area of the Whisper mission, in a small grove.

The Divide in the Cosmodrome, where the Guardian was resurrected.

A holofoil Ribbontail, as seen in collections.

The Phoneutria Fera hand cannon, inspired by the Season of the Haunted armor set. It has a unique, galactic glow.

Three Fuses appear in a match of Apex Legends' Wild Card mode.

Mad Maggie opens a supply bin and an item with a symbol indicating infinite ammo appears.

Legends slide through a zipline in King’s Canyon in Apex Legends.
