Definitive version of 3D Realms’ goofy FPS

Originally released in 1997, 3D Realms’Shadow Warrioris very much a product of its time. And since this is an old-school first-person shooter we’re talking about here, that’s actually a good thing. The cult classic can be found onSteam for free, but if you’re looking for the definitive version, General Arcade and Devolver Digital have come out withShadow Warrior Classic Redux.

Most notably, the package throws in theWanton DestructionandTwin Dragonexpansions, but there are also remastered visuals and a remixed soundtrack to round out the $8.49 purchase price. Later this summer, Devolver will roll out a promotion that rewardsClassic Reduxowners with a coupon for Flying Wild Hog’s newShadow Warrior. Features like online multiplayer through Steamworks and Linux support are also said to be upcoming.
