According to the official JapaneseSonic the HedgehogX account on Wednesday, the party battle royale gameSonic Rumblehas been pushed back to Spring. This means we’ll have to wait for those epic 32-player rumbles just a bit longer.
Hopefully, When it finally launches on PC, iOS, and Android devices, it will have been worth the wait.

The wait continues
“By adding new gameplay and elements never seen before, we are working on creating a game that you can all enjoy for a long time!” said theofficial Sonic X/Twitter accountvia a translation through the social media website. “Please bear with us a little longer until the release date.” No reason has been given for the delay. Here’s hoping we’ll get an official release day soon.
Sonic Rumblewas initially a mobile-only title, but was later announced to launch on PC (via Steam).Sonic the Hedgehogfans are excited to play as all manner of different characters throughout the series’ history, such as Knuckles, Amy, and Espio. If the game attains a certain amount ofpre-registrationson mobile platforms and Steam (likely in the form of wishlisting), players will have the movie version of the iconic titular character unlocked, in addition to a Garnet-themed Knuckles skin.

So far, fans have been able to unlock 5,000 Rings and a Happy sticker as part of the pre-registration rewards. The next goal is the Crystal Chao buddy, which unlocks at 600K pre-registrations.
Plenty of success for the hedgehog
The Blue Blur has been on arollrecently with his latest filmSonic the Hedgehog 3making over $480 million worldwide at the box office (viaThe Numbers). While the next mainline game hasn’t been announced yet, fans are anticipating the new kart racing titleSonic Racing: CrossWorlds, which will havea mix of Sonic and Sega characters— unlike the last entry.
Whatever the next mainline entry is, it will be hard to topple the Genesis classics likeSonic 3 and Knucklesfrom 1994. TheSonic Rumbledelay is certainly a bummer, but at least there are many games to play and many movies to watch from this Sega character to keep you entertained for now.
