Twitter. Maybe you’ve heard of it. The social networking and micro-blogging service has been picking up steam as of late, becoming increasingly popular with members of the media and other people who think the universe cares what they have to say.

Take me, for instance; I have aTwitter account.Dtoid has an account, too (but it’s not to be confused withDestructoid, which apparently has nothing to do with us). We’re not alone, and there’s certainly people more important that us who use Twitter, including Newsweek’sN’Gai Croal, Microsoft’sMajor Nelson,PlayStation Blog‘sJeff Rubenstein, and more.

So thank goodness for Sam Houston’s Game Industry Tweet Web site, which breaks down the industry’s Twitter accounts down into four categories — press, companies, public relations, and communities.
