Square Enix has announced thatStar Ocean: First Departure R, a remake of a remakeannounced a few months back, will be heading to the PS4 and Switch on Jun 11, 2025. Alongside that news is a brand new trailer, giving us our first glimpse of how this new version will look. you may clearly tell this has roots as a PSP game, but I quite like the sprite work.
While light on changes to gameplay, the trailer does at least confirm dual audio will be present. The dub doesn’t sound so bad here, but I’m always a stickler for playing with the original audio. Call me a weeaboo all you want, because I am one. I won’t deny that fact.
