May 1 at 6PM PT

Nintendo rolled outa new batch of Switch OnlineSplatoon 2icons recently, and you have until May 1 at 6PM PT to grab them.

As a reminder, Nintendo launched a new program recently that added more things to spend your My Nintendo Platinum Points on in the form of digital rewards. These include FOMO-basedavatars/icons, as well as frames and backgrounds, that feature first-party Nintendo characters (so far) for a limited time. They’ll presumably cycle in and out, but at the moment, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

They’re also a good way for Nintendo to promote whatever it needs to at that moment in time, including the recent release ofKirby and the Forgotten Land, as well as the addition ofSplatoon 2into the Switch Online Expansion Pack. As a result, you have until May 1 to grab thoseSplatooncelebration icons. They’re themed afterSplatoon 2specifically (but apply to all thingsSplatoonfor the most part), and we can assume we’ll getSplatoon 3ones eventually.

As a reminder, if you want physical rewards, you can find our full Platinum Point guide here, which has been updated with details on weekly missions:bookmark it for when you need quick points for a reward. A handful of points is incredibly easy to get, as that’s basically just 15 minutes withSuper Mario Run, or a quick sign-on to the 3DS or Wii U 3Shop. Also remember that any shipments are bundled together, so you can pay a flat rate for multiple items instead of paying it each time. Just know that items go out of stock on My Nintendo frequently, and some are never restocked.
