Don’t expect the whole rogues gallery
We’ve heard little about Telltale’s M-rated episodicBatmanseries since itsvague announcementlate last year, but the studio was willing to share a few details this week at South by Southwest. Notably, the first episode is scheduled to release this summer. That’s a draft of the scriptright there.
Telltale says the story is most concerned with its leading character’s duality and how his actions as Bruce Wayne and Batman affect one another, so it won’t be “an examination of the extended ‘Bat-family,’ (Robin, Nightwing, etc.).” In certain scenarios, players can decide to play with or without the costume. Both sides have “consequences.” (Alfred will remember that.)

There aren’t any screenshots yet, but the creators describeBatman‘s art direction as “a non-photorealistic interpretation of the universe.” Speaking of, this game is set in modern times and “not tied to any existing iteration of Batman in games, film, or comics.” I like that.
I’m also glad to hear theTales from the Borderlandsteam is working on this.
