The latest edition of Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition shares a heap of new gaming-flavoured records, including confirmation that the world’s biggest arcade machine is so big, a fully-grown African elephant would fit inside the shell.

A battle scene in Battlefield 6 Open Beta

The world’s largest arcade machine was built by “self-confessed arcade fanatic” Jason Camberis from Chicago, USA, who took two years to build this 4.41m tall and 1.06m deep cabinet. Inspired by arcade machines in his youth — which, inevitably, always felt much bigger when he was a kid– Camberis even has playable versions ofPacManandDragon Spiritinstalled.

And there’s more. Chris Cook from Birmingham, UK, completed the world’s longest football match marathon, playingFIFAfor 48 hours, 49 minutes and 41 seconds to raise money for SpecialEffect, the gaming charity.

(Just FYI, the press release says she’s the highest-earning competitive player, but she may be highest earning female? We’ve reached out to confirm with Guinness.)
