Strategy franchise’s new art book spoils the surprise
Yes,Total War: Warhammeris a thing that’s happening. No, Sega hasn’t officially announced it.
The word comes from a book entitledThe Art of Total War, which is set to hit shelves next week. Unfortunately for those who may have been looking to keep this news item under wraps until then, copies of the text have already started making their way out into the wild.
One such codex wound up in the hands of aTotal War Centerforums user, who discovered a note fromTotal Warcreative director Mike Simpson stating the studio is experimenting with “taking the series to a fantasy setting withTotal War: Warhammer.” Oops.
It was no secret theTotal Warstudio was working on an adaptation of the tabletop game, givenSega inked a deal with Games Workshopto do just that in 2012, but it sure sounds like the project is still steaming along. Maybe we’ll catch a glimpse of it sometime soon.
