Remember Twitch Plays Pokémon from last year? That’s okay, neither does anyone else. That won’t stop advertising agencies from trying to capitalise on a year-old, played out Internet phenomenon though!
TechCrunchhas reported that Procter & Gamble is working with Twitch.tv to launch “The Old Spice Nature Adventure.” For three days, starting April 16, Twitch users will be able to control arealman in arealforest full of joke traps, all by screaming commands in to the chat. The “adventure” is going to get pretty weird, the campaign’s said to feature talking trees, and much more importantly arm wrestling with a bear. A fake bear, but a bear nonetheless.
The icing on the cake though is that there will be a narrator guiding us gently through the whole three days. I really, really hope it’s the hot Old Spice guy in the loose towel… his perfectly toned muscles rippling while he seductively tries to sell me shower gel that turns into a diamond horse… but we both know all I really want is to… with his… and on his… Anyway, I hope it’s that guy narrating, that’d be rad.
