Like a lot of gamers anticipating a bigMarvel vs. Capcom 3announcement today, I came away with mixed emotions after Capcom finally let loose details onUltimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3— twelve new characters, some new stages, and online options, all for $40. It’s not a bad deal or anything, but considering that vanillaMarvel vs. Capcom 3just came out a few month ago, it does feel a little too soon. At first, I thought I would have been happier if they just threwNemesis, Phoenix Wright, Strider, and Mega Man, up for sale as DLC for $5 a pair (or if they just included Mega Man at all) and called it a day.

Then I saw this trailer, and I started to become a believer. The Ant-Man cameo immediately made me think of Garret Morris, and I can’t say no to Garret Morris. Then there’s thelive stream going on right now(the one that may or may not be over by the time you read this) that’s showing off all sorts of cool new stuff, like Ryu’s new Sakura-esque ability to charge regular fireballs (with the option toturn said fireballs invisible) and a bunch of other stuff I didn’t see coming. LikeSuper Street Fighter IVbefore it, this game may turn out to be more than just a roster update. For now, I remain hopeful.
