The above video is a Japanese trailer for the upcoming Nintendo DS gameWario: Master of Disguise. Usually I don’t get excited about platforming games, but this one seems to imitate one of my all-time favorite Genesis titles:Kid Chameleon, a game that is LONG overdue for a new-gen upgrade.
Wario: Master of Disguiseseems to combine some really clever stylus use with the “don different costumes to solves puzzlesand meet hot chicks” gameplay mechanic invented inKC. We’re just hoping the stylus sections don’t seem tacked on like those found inNew Super Mario Bros.orCastlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it athousandtimes; if you can’t combine the stylus with the regular flow of gameplay, just leave it out!
