If there’s one element that typifies Square Enix titles, it’s their tendency to feature beautiful and lavish soundtracks, often evoking a whole range of deep emotions out of the player (though I’m talking moreXenogearsand lessKane and Lynch: Dog Days.)
If you are a PS4 owner, and also a fan of the publisher’s tear-jerking tunes, then you might want to grab two free themes that are currently available onPlayStation Storein North America and Japan. The first theme “Shizuka” is a much slower, ambient affair, with a blue and lilac hue to its background, while the bittersweet “Akari” features a violet and sand coloured design.
Both themes have been released in order to promote Square Enix’ recent decision toupload almost the entire Final Fantasy soundtrack catalogueto a range of online streaming services. The Square Enix Music PS4 themes will be available until August 2020.
