Guild of Magic Koei Tecmo announced that it will be producing a JRPG based on the acclaimedFairy Tailmanga/anime. A series focused on wizards battling demons and dragons, the game will feature a story with supervision by creator Hiro Mashima to ensure it is faithful to the source material. The title will he beading to PC (via Steam), PS4, and Switch sometime in 2020. There isn’t much more information to go on, but Koei Tecmo will be talking more about the game at the 2019 Tokyo Game Show next week....

It’s also adding a new mechanic reminiscent ofSideway New York. Link flattens to a 2D sketch and adheres to walls. Not terribly inventive, but it could be used well in puzzles. I think getting caught up in the excitement that is a sequel toA Link to the Pastmight have skewed my expectations forA Link Between Worlds....

Password reset incoming in North America Riot Games has issued a security update that applies to North American players ofLeague of Legends. Account information — including usernames, transaction records from 2011, and hashed and salted passwords and credit card numbers — has been compromised. Here’s the official line from the company: “What we know: usernames, email addresses,salted password hashes, and some first and last names were accessed. This means that the password files are unreadable, but players with easily guessable passwords are vulnerable to account theft....

When a console has been out for more than a year, you can usually expect a price cut on the horizon. Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have had prices lowered since launch, but the Wii laughs at them, keeping its cost and still outselling the pair of them.
