PlayingMuramasa: The Demon Bladerecently, I’ve noticed that the lack of English voiceover actually seems to add to the game rather than subtract from it — the spoken Japanese actually goes well with the atmosphere. Naturally, its less work for a studio, but if it works out well, more power to them.
In a recent chat with XSEED,Siliconerafound out that much anticipatedFragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moonwill likely keep its Japanese voice track as well. A rep said “All signs from the dev team are that the Japanese voices can be included together with the English voices forFragile. We should have final confirmation on this later as an English build becomes available for the first time.” Neat!

However, fans hoping to hear the original Japanese voices inSky Crawlers: Innocent Acesmay be disappointed to learn they definitely will not be included. XSEED says that this was due to a licensing issue with the Japanese voices for territories outside of Japan. Too bad!
Of course,Fragilecould come with Romanian voiceovers and I’d still be happy, because I’m finally going to get to play it. This is easily my most anticipated game of the year. Do you care if an import retains its Japanese voice track or not?
